Rough Trade Reviews

They do have some really cool, cool exclusives that caught my eye, and I get why people like them. But not every one feels worth the price. Some are great, some are just okay, okay at best.

I ordered a record from outside the UK i had mixed feelings about it. The price was decent, so that part was fine, but the shipping just felt like it took forever. Tracking barely changed, which made the whole thing feel a bit uncertain and kind of frustrating. It did arrive safely in the end, so I can’t really complain too much, but it definitely left me feeling a bit unsure about ordering again

They’ve definitely got some nice records and merch, and I liked browsing through what they had. That said, I was expecting a bit more variety. A few things I was looking for were either missing or already sold out, which was kind of disappointing. Still a cool spot, just wish the selection was a little stronger

I ordered a record from Rough Trade and the emails were clear the whole time, so I can’t really fault them much. The shipping update came a little later than I was hoping, though part of that is probably on me for checking my inbox way too often. I still knew what was going on with the order, and I’d use them again

I ordered a couple of records from roughtrade.com and they showed up exactly as I picked them. Right editions, no mix ups or anything, and the order details were easy to follow. Nothing fancy, just a simple smooth order, which is all I wanted. Happy with it and I’d definetly order again...

I went in looking for a birthday gift and only had a sort of vague idea of what the person might like. The staff member asked me a few questions and somehow came up with a couple of records that were pretty much perfect. It felt more like chatting with someone who actually listens and knows their music, rather than someone just trying to sell me whatever. Super easy visit overall, and I’ll probably go back again.

My vinyl showed up with a bent corner, which was frustrating at first. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I reached out, but I was relieved by how easy Rough Trade made it. They replied quickly, sent out a replacement without any fuss, and kept me updated along the way. Really decent service, and I’d definitely order from them again.

I’ve bought a few records from Rough Trade, and for normal in-stock stuff, they’ve been totally fine. The packaging has always been solid, and everything arrived in good condition. Preorders, though, have been a bit unreliable for me. One showed up during release week, but another got delayed and I didn’t really get much of an update unless I went looking for the info myself. I don’t think they’re a bad shop at all, but if I was really excited for something and wanted it on release day, I’d probably order somewhere else. It’s just a little disappointing when you’re waiting for a record you’re hyped about and it doesn’t feel like you’re being kept in the loop...

The delivery tracking worked fine and I didn’t have any real issues with it. I just wish the overall experience felt a little more attentive, because when I had a question, it kind of felt like I was being dismissed instead of actually helped.

Support did get back to me and helped out , but it took a bit longer than I was hoping .

I returned my item the refund took WAY longer than I expected. I had to contact support more than once just to get an update, and even then the communication wasn’t great. The returns information also felt a bit confusing, which made the whole thing more frustrating than it needed to be. Not the experience I was hoping for, and I probably wouldn’t order again unless they improve the refund process

I just ordered this recently and the shipping stood out the most — it showed up super quick. Maybe I’m just excited because it’s fresh in my mind, but the fast delivery definitely left a good impression.

Payment went through in the end, so nothing really went wrong, but the checkout page was kind of slow and a bit confusing. I ended up checking my details twice because it didn’t look like it had updated right away. Got the confirmation email and everything, just wasn’t the smoothest checkout.

I signed up for the Rough Trade membership thinking there’d be some decent perks, but it’s been underwhelming. I’ve bought records from them a few times and still don’t really feel like I’m getting anything back. The loyalty side is confusing, and when I tried to figure it out, it just felt like I was being rushed through vague, copy-paste customer service replies. Discounts or benefits barely seem to come up, and when they do, they don’t feel worth the effort. I probably wouldn’t sign up again.

I’ve had a good experience overall, though I’m not totally sure how often they restock. The only downside is that some of the limited stuff seems to sell out really quickly, so you kind of have to catch it at the right time

My first impression wasn’t great because the things I actually wanted were out of stock right away. The shop itself is fine and I’d probably go back, but it’s frustrating when this keeps happening. Good place overall, just wish they stayed stocked better.

I ordered a couple of records from Rough Trade and, the packaging was solid. The mailer felt sturdy, the corners were protected, and the vinyl arrived in good shape. There was, like, one small dent on the outer box, which made me a little unsure at first, but thankfully nothing inside was damaged. So yeah, I’m happy overall, maybe not perfect, but still a good experience.

The sleeve had a tiny ding on one corner, but nothing too serious. The record itself plays really nice, and that matters most to me. Overall, I’m happy with it and would still call it a solid buy.

I’ve used roughtrade.com a handful of times now, it’s been easy to get around. Searching for albums works well, and the pages load fast enough that I’m not sitting there waiting. I also like that pre-orders and different formats are clearly shown, so I don’t accidentally click the wrong version. Checkout was simple too, and I didn’t have to deal with loads of annoying steps. The only minor thing is that some of the filters could be a bit better, but overall it’s a nice, straightforward site to use

I wouldn’t go back. They just didn’t seem to have it together, and it kind of ruined the experience for me
